Favorite ChairThis is a painting of my friend, Alisha. The colors, the model and the painterly execution make it one of my own favorite pieces. It hangs in my living room. | Velociraptor Eating TofuThis work was commissioned by a friend. I love dinosaurs, they give us the opportunity to consider mind-bending spans of time. And I find it funny to have one of the more frightening dinos from Jurrasic Park eating a vegetarian meal with knife and fork. |

FedoraA portrait of a friend of mine in his favorite fedora. | Baker District Art AuctionPatrons of the arts gathered for an auction at my home-gallery near Denver's Santa Fe Arts District. |
F=kqq/d^2Here, I explore poetic extrapolations of Coulomb's Law. It says, roughly, that if you separate two charged particles by a distance, the Force attracting them is diminished by that amount, squared. The force of attraction between two lovers is at it's greatest when the distance between them is reduced to zero. The grip of pain caused by tragedy is eased as time puts distance between you and that event. | An Ode to EnergyThis painting is about the flow of energy. Depicted are radio waves, a figure meditating, chakras illuminated, Max Planck and his equation relating energy, wavelength and the speed of light. |
Art in the Medium of PumpkinFinding the right image, adjusting contrast and brightness in Photoshop and using various tools (X-acto knife, chisel, dremmel, push-pin) all contribute to expressing light and shadow in a carved pumpkin. | Ralph NadarHalloween 2008, no figure was more terrifying to Democrats and Republicans alike than 3rd party candidate, Ralph Nadar. |
DraculaBella Lugosi's Dracula was a classic. I am particularly proud of the mid-tones in the lower portion of his face, which I achieved by removing the outer, orange layer of pumpkin and thinning out the remaining pumpkin flesh. | Frankenstein |
